5 Reasons Why Dexter Click
46
I am the newest Dexter fan here in the east. (Where in the East? That's for me to know....) For those who doesn't know Dexter (where have you been?), Dexter is an American television drama series that is about a forensic blood splatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department. He works for the police but Dexter is a serial killer! He has urges that he must satisfy.
The show is based on characters created by Jeff Lindsay for his series of Dexter novels. It was adapted for television by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter James Manos, Jr., who wrote the pilot episode.
What Makes Dexter Tick?
Dexter is one of the highest ranking series in Showtime channel. Season 4 aired its season finale on December 13, 2009 to a record-breaking audience of 2.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched original series episode ever on Showtime.
With that, I asked myself, What makes Dexter such a hit? Well, check out the following possible reasons why?
- He talks to himself and the monologue thing. It click because we all do it, we talk to ourselves.
- He's good looking and funny... for a serial killer.
- He's the 'good guy'.
- Dexter, the TV series, as a whole, i.e. the whole season is like Jack Bauers 24.. only less hollering.
- There is some personality of Dexter that you can relate with... hopefully its the good, less violent things.
Those are my reasons why I think Dexter is a hit... Do you want to add more?
