24 with Jack Bauer
We all know that 24's latest season that is currently airing in FOX is the last one for this amazing, and greatest action-packed TV series of all time. This is sad news, of course and we fans already knew about it even before the seventh season of the show ended.
Jack Bauer is the main character of 24. In the last seven years or season (and in this show, most appropriate is, seven hours) he had been the hero in battling all sorts of terrorism in the United States from the assassination plot of the US President to stopping terrorist from releasing biological weapons of destruction.
Jack Bauer has been trained and worked in various capacities as a government agent, including U.S. Army Delta Force, Los Angeles Police Department, SWAT, CIA, and during the course of the show, the Counter Terrorist Unit and the FBI (in the latest season 7).
Within the 24 storyline, he is a key member of CTU and is often portrayed as the best agent CTU has. Jack Bauer's job usually involves him helping prevent major terrorist attacks on the United States, saving both civilian lives and government administrations. On many occasions Jack does so at great personal expense, as those he thwarts subsequently target him and his loved ones.
He was... He is the best CTU agent ever! But as mentioned before, 24 is about to end and it will end in 10 hours, as of this writing latest one is 24 Season 8 Episode 4.. But don't worry too much, there is a possibility of a spin off!
Freddie Prinze, Jr - Cole Ortiz
Hello Cole Ortiz!
Cole Ortiz is one of the best operative in CTU New York. Being played by Freddie Prinze, Jr, his role as Cole Ortiz is a far cry from his for-children-only role in Scooby-Doo or the heartthrob football player, in She's All That.
In 24, Freddie Prinze Jr will be playing a tough CTU agent that is not-quite Jack Bauer, even in the first season of 24 but hopefully he'll learn more than a thing or two from Jack to make him worthy of the throne.

totally! i think it would be a great idea to have a spin off with freddie. He could definitely carry it and it would be interesting to watch. Would still miss Jack but would definitely watch it!
A spin off show with Freddy would be great! The should call it "CTU"!!
holy shit!! i was totally thinking the same thing for the longest time lol. i think it would be awesome to have a new series with a new lead character! why else would they create a character to mirror a younger jack bauer? they even look a little alike. i think its a great idea. jack could also stop in on guest appearances since many of the threates from the first series havent been solved yet. like the organization that alan wilson worked with in seasons 5 and 7. and i think theres room to bring back mandy. that would be awesome. and of course tony almeida needs to come back.
It would be incredible. There are so many people who are faithful to "24" and as this final season presses on we are beginning to see the character of Cole develop into something parallel to Jack, betrayed by the people he thinks care about him, personal loss, and...Cole is pretty bad ass too! There are so many possibilities. I would recommend they stay away from the 24 hour real time deal. It is a limiting factor that if removed opens up so many scenarios. Some of the characters I think are too important to get rid of aka Chloe! Personally I've always enjoyed Chloe as a sort of moral check and someone who's not all GI Joe but an intelligent and invaluable member of every season!! All in all bring on the spin offs! They will have the devoted fans of Jack and his 8 season on 24 and the new fans that come!

Ok, but if there is a spin-off, I want Chloe to be a main character as well...and I hope they can bring back president Taylor to work with them. Since she's not the president anymore it'd be cool to see her work with them directly or at least by phone or something like that.

Having Freddy as the main lead now would be great replacement, it would keep the show alive and well. At least Keither could pop in from time to time, and discover what Tony is up too at certain times since he is a rogue agent now.
There are endless possibilities for a spin off, or just keep the show going with out Jack as the main focus.
